ABOLISH THE PROPERTY TAX  Don't let this idea die!

The defeat of Measure 2 in North Dakota brought the possibility of eliminating state property tax to my attention . Measure 2 proposed eliminating property taxes throughout the state, starting in 2012. The measure was proposed by a group called Empower the Taxpayer in March 2010 and approved for circulation by the North Dakota Secretary of State in late March. Specifically, the measure required the legislature to replace local governments' property tax income with state tax revenue. A similar proposal was rejected in 2009 by the North Dakota Legislature.

On April 29, 2011 the Secretary of State Al Jaeger confirmed that supporters collected sufficient signature to qualify the proposed measure for the statewide primary ballot.

On June 12, 2012, the voters of North Dakota had the opportunity to make North Dakota truly 'Legendary', attempting to pass a state constitutional amendment that would abolish the property tax, prioritize spending by the legislature, and finally give local governments something they never had: true local control over spending.

Don't let this idea die!

I am writing to our Ohio Governor John Kasich to bring a similar bill to Ohio.

God bless you and your families and may God continue to bless The United States of America the best hope for FREEDOM in this world.
