WHO WE ARE GET INVOLVED CANDIDATE SURVEYS ON THE ISSUES ABOUT AUDIT THE FED

Audit the Fed!

Quick update here on Audit the Fed efforts.

Wednesday, Bernanke gave his second press conference. Though it didn't generate the headlines of the first one, perhaps the most interesting aspect is that most commentators came away with the notion that Bernanke was clueless about how to "fix" the economy.

This is actually a good sign - the notion that a small group of central planners can sit together in a room a determine a nations monetary policy is an elitist position that will only lead us further down the road to serfdom.

Sen. Dean Heller (NV) signed on as a cosponsor to S. 202 this week, bringing the total to six cosponsors in the Senate.  Also, we're now up to 159 cosponsors of H.R. 459.

If your senator  or representative was a cosponsor of S. 604 in the last congress, or H.R. 1207 in the House, it's time to turn up the heat and get them to cosponsor S. 202, or H.R. 459 for a full and thorough audit of the Fed.

In particular, three current Senators (former Congressmen) who were in the House last session are Roy Blunt (MO), Jerry Moran (KS), and Mark Kirk (IL).  If these are your Senators, make sure you reach out to them today and urge them to cosponsor S. 202!

Keep the pressure up, we've come a long way since making Audit the Fed our #1 legislative priority at CPAC 2009 - let's make sure we do everything we can to secure votes in the 112th Congress!
