Washtenaw Citizens Against the Regional Enhancement Millage (WCAREM)! (Posted 2009/10/12)

The Washtenaw Intermediate School Districts (WISD) has placed a proposal for a "Regional Enhancement Millage" on the November 3 ballot. The WISD campaign for the 2.0 mill increase has become highly misleading and emotional for a millage which would be added onto an already existing set of taxes and millages. In addition, it was revealed (via Freedom of Information Act requests) that the WISD has not performed an economic analysis of their situation and have shown no rational justification for their actions. The Washtenaw Citizens Against the Regional Enhancement Millage (WCAREM) has been formed by the Wastenaw County Campaign for Liberty in order to provide up-to-date information on meetings/events/general updates!
