WHO WE ARE GET INVOLVED CANDIDATE SURVEYS ON THE ISSUES ABOUT AUDIT THE FED

Good News! Government "mistakenly" giving away less of your money!

Here's some good news from DC: In 2013, the Federal Government made $100 billion in payments to those who did not legally qualify for them. This figure includes items like unemployment benefits sent to people with jobs and payments for unnecessary treatments and procedures.

You may be wondering why this is good news... because the amount of improper payments has dropped since 2010, when the federal government made $121 billion in improper payments. This is not really good news, of course, but it is nice to see federal spending dropping in some area.

Of course, from a philosophical and constitutional point of view, all federal transfer programs are improper, which is why Campaign for Liberty supports reducing spending on all welfare programs (starting with corporate welfare) as part of our efforts for Real Cuts, Right Now.

(hat tip: Town Hall).
