WHO WE ARE GET INVOLVED CANDIDATE SURVEYS ON THE ISSUES ABOUT AUDIT THE FED

C4L Vice President Matt Hawes Discusses "The Technology Revolution"

Recently, Campaign for Liberty Vice President Matt Hawes discussed C4L's new Internet Manifesto, "The Technology Revolution, with Erik Kaine, a Forbes contributor, to provide a little background on the new document.

Matt Hawes explained to Forbes:

Fully auditing (and then ending) the Federal Reserve remains Campaign for Liberty’s top priority. Promoting sound money and holding the Fed accountable for what it has done to our economy are fundamental issues that we will continue to champion.

C4L has made our position on Internet freedom well known and asked our members to take action before, as in the debate over SOPA/PIPA, so it’s not a new stage. Our members have long been concerned about privacy and online freedom. But with Congress attempting to pass bills like SOPA/PIPA earlier in the year, and with the continuing active conversation about the Internet’s future, it’s become more important than ever to clearly state where we stand on the issue of Internet freedom. As we say in the Manifesto, the Internet is “the single greatest catalyst in history for individual liberty and free markets.” If it’s going to remain so, the private sector must be left free to innovate.

We’re looking forward to working with Congressman Paul, Senator Paul, and other legislators to advance the principles stated in the Manifesto, and we’re planning to bring the same energy and intensity to this fight that we have to the Fed issue, which has us on the verge of passing a thorough audit in the U.S. House later this month.
