Opportunity for students to learn about liberty
Are you, or do you know, a student who wants to know more about the ideas of liberty? Then tell them to consider attending one of the Independent Institute’s “Challenge of Liberty Summer Seminars.” The Independent Institute is holding three summer seminars. The first one will be held from June 17-21 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The second one will be held from July 15-19 in Berkley, California. The third seminar, which is for High School students, will be held from July 22-26 in Oakland, California.
The seminars consist of five-days of lectures, readings, and small group discussions. The curriculum includes ethics and the rise of liberty in the West, public choice and “Austrian School” economics, American history, and such topics as money and banking, taxation, free trade and globalization, healthcare, charity and the welfare state, regulation and deregulation, war and peace, education, the environment, monopoly and competition.
Seminar attendance is limited to students under 35. Scholarships are available.
