Last night, Senator Paul joined CNN host John King and Senator Mike Lee joined CNBC's Larry Kudlow to discuss the Senate passing a short-term continuing resolution. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tOgH-hsd92E http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9tG3xaFf1bE

As Senator Paul points out to CNN, and a narrative that needs driven home, is that the Senate is not properly debating these spending bills as they ought to.  Instead, the party in charge waits until there is an upcoming deadline that puts Senators in a false dilemma - where there votes are either interpreted as votes to shut down government or to keep it open.

For real change to come to Washington, there needs to be real debate, with real solutions offered.  During last nights vote, there were no amendments, and no debate.  It was take it or leave it.  Republicans should have left it.  View the roll call here.
