Winning (UPDATED)

The slogan that made the rounds as a pop culture reference firmly applies to our liberty movement, as indicated by the success of Senator Rand Paul's currently 12-hour filibuster against the nomination of John Brennan to be the next CIA director.

Senator Paul is filibustering to protest the administration's lack of a straight answer to many simple questions, including if it supports the use of lethal drone strikes on U.S. citizens on U.S. soil.  Many other senators have joined Senator Paul's filibuster, including the Senate Minority Leader, Mitch McConnell, who is on the floor as of this writing!

Not long ago, few would have imagined a principled stand on the Senate floor such as we've witnessed today capturing the nation's attention and being supported by so many others, including Mitch McConnell, the NRSC, and untold numbers of mainstream conservative outlets across the country.

Throughout the day, we've have heard a devastating critique of executive power and a clarion call to return to the Constitution's constraints.

Our members' generous support has enabled us to spread the liberty message and recruit more Americans to our fight.  Today's stand will draw even more to our ranks.

We are winning, but we have not yet won.  And we won't stop until we do.

UPDATE: Senator Rand Paul yields the floor just shy of 13 hours. Heroic.

Stay tuned for more on this important issue tomorrow!
