Defend Our Constitutions!

If liberals can’t get their way, they change the rules, stack the deck, or even shut down your business! We saw Harry Reid use the “nuclear option” in the US Senate, laws regarding mail-in were ballots unconstitutionally changed or blatantly violated, and now the left is threatening to stack the Supreme Court! And now a group of Kansas legislators is conspiring to brazenly violate our Kansas Constitution to sneak through a dangerous application for an Article V constitutional convention.

Defend Our Constitutions!

WHEREAS: Article 2, Section 13 of the Kansas Constitution requires a two-thirds supermajority in both the Kansas House and Senate to apply for a constitutional convention; and

WHEREAS: Legislators are proposing a plan to violate the Kansas Constitution by passing rules changes so they can sneak a constitutional convention application through with only a simple majority; and

WHEREAS: Scholars, including past Supreme Court justices, have declared that a constitutional convention, once called, cannot be limited -- even if the calling instructions attempt to do so; and

WHEREAS: With rampant and brazen disregard for election integrity and blatantly unconstitutional shutdowns occurring in 49 states, we should expect these same statist swamp creatures to also control a constitutional convention; and

WHEREAS: The money and influence of special interests, including George Soros and leftist organizations like Wolf PAC, could overwhelm a convention; and

WHEREAS: This could destroy any remaining restraint protecting election integrity, free speech, freedom of religion, free press, the right to keep and bear arms, free markets, and other cherished protections.

THEREFORE: I demand that my State Senator and Representative REJECT any attempt to pass any rules violating Article 2, Section 13 of the Kansas Constitution, and REJECT any resolution or legislation applying for an Article V Constitutional Convention.
