To My State Representative, State Senator, and Governor Mead
WHEREAS: The great State of Wyoming is facing a budget shortfall running in the BILLIONS of dollars due to the energy industry downturn, and
WHEREAS: Wyoming State Legislators have continued to spend recklessly on new school facilities throughout the State, despite having insufficient funding to even pay for major maintenance of our schools, and
WHEREAS: Wyoming State Legislators have continued their reckless spending and budget overrun on the $300 million Capitol Renovation and Expansion project, and
WHEREAS: Certain self-interest groups are pushing our legislature to increase revenue (grow government) by allowing Wyoming cities to RAISE sales taxes, including implementing online sales taxes, and
WHEREAS: Wyoming Campaign for Liberty members and supporters will not stand idly by and allow big government advocates such as Wyoming Association of Municipalities and others to succeed in ramming higher taxes into law and more million dollar deficit spending here in the Cowboy State.
THEREFORE, as one of your constituents, I urge you to vote AGAINST any and all tax increases and tax schemes in Wyoming!
