Dear Catoosa Taxpayer,
The Catoosa Board of Commissioners seems determined to bail out Hutcheson Medical Center, no matter the cost. To date, they have backed a $20 million loan and approved a $6 million line of credit for the hospital. Now, the commissioners are considering backing another $60 million of Hutcheson’s debt!

Petition to stop the taxpayer bailout of Hutcheson Medical Center to my County Commissioners
WHEREAS: The Catoosa County government has a duty to handle the taxpayers' money responsibly; and WHEREAS: Hutcheson Medical Center has been a failing business for years, making it a risky investment for taxpayer money; and WHEREAS: Catoosa County has already used taxpayer money to back over $25 MILLION in loans to Hutcheson. THEREFORE: We, the citizens of Catoosa County, demand that the Catoosa County Board of Commissioners drop all plans to back any further debt for Hutcheson Medical Center. |
