Whereas: The U.S. Constitution does not grant the federal government authority to restrict the use or sale of firearms or firearms accessories; and

Whereas: The 2nd Amendment of the U.S. Constitution and Section 4 of the Kansas Bill of Rights specifically recognize an individuals' natural right to bear arms; and

Whereas: The Kansas Second Amendment Protection Act was written and signed into law to protect Kansas citizens from an overreaching federal government relating to firearms and firearms accessories made and kept in Kansas; and

Whereas: Shane Cox and Jeremy Kettler were prosecuted and found guilty in federal court and stripped of their rights for manufacturing and owning a firearms accessory -- a silencer -- made and kept within the state of Kansas.

Whereas: The Hearing Protection Act (H.R. 367) would significantly reduce regulations relating to silencers, treating them in the same fashion as long guns.

Therefore, be it resolved that: We the people demand that the Hearing Protection Act (H.R. 367) be passed by the U.S. Congress and signed into law by President Donald Trump without amendment and without delay.

Be it further resolved that: We the people demand a full pardon and full restoration of rights by President Donald Trump for Shane Cox and Jeremy Kettler relating to the lawful and constitutional exercise of their natural rights relating to firearms and firearms accessories.
