Stop KowalkoCare

Higher taxes, less freedom, more fraud, and lower quality medical care for millions – that’s what will happen if KowalkoCare passes.

House Bill 74, recently introduced by Representative John A. Kowalko, Jr. (D-25th), will institute a state-run government health care system for all citizens of Delaware.

Apparently not wanting to be outdone by ObamaCare, House Bill 74 does what the president tried (but failed) to accomplish – it brings socialized, single-payer medicine to Delaware.

This bill contains statutes for additional income and payroll taxes, and establishes the Delaware Health Security Authority, a new governing body that will be given the power to micromanage the health care industry as well as your personal medical decisions.

If this bill passes, it will destroy Delaware’s fragile economy, eliminate any and all vestiges of health care freedom, and fully destroy a health care system that is already buckling under ObamaCare.

Please sign the petition below to STOP KowalkoCare in Delaware.

Whereas: there is natural right for every human individual to make health care decisions for their lives without any outside interference; and

Whereas: there is irrefutable proof that government intervention increases cost and decreases access to any product in any industry or field; and

Whereas: the interventions of federal and state governments have diminished the health care disposition of all Americans for over 6 decades; and

Whereas: Representative John A. Kowalko Jr. (D-25th) has introduced House Bill 74 in the 147th General Assembly of Delaware, which will institute a state-run, “single-payer” government health care system for all citizens of Delaware; and

Whereas: House Bill 74 would destroy Delaware’s fragile economy, eliminate any and all vestiges of health care freedom, and fully destroy a health care system that is already buckling under ObamaCare.

Therefore: I demand that House Bill 74 of the 147th General Assembly be stricken and removed from the House Health and Human Development Committee.
