Online sales taxes would impose high costs of compliance on businesses — especially small businesses and individual sellers.
The bureaucracy and cost of an online sales tax will just be passed on to the consumers. . . you and me.
This is just another excuse for the power-hungry bureaucrats to pick your pocket.

PETITION TO SOUTH DAKOTA STATE LEGISLATORS
Whereas, state legislators should be the guardians of taxpayer money; and
Whereas, state legislators should be finding ways to reduce spending; and
Whereas, a new tax is the worst thing for our fragile economy; and
Whereas, an internet sales tax will drive business out of our state.
Therefore, I call upon my state legislators to save the taxpayers' money and vote against any legislation proposing an internet sales tax.
