Today, while speaking to local school children about the importance of reading and education, President Obama, stated that one of his favorite books he recently finished is none other than The Revolution: A Manifesto by Dr. Ron Paul.
Speaking to local 8th graders, the President stated, "I try to find 30 minutes every day to read. In fact, I just read this great book by Ron Paul called The Revolution!"
"I really wish I had read The Revolution in 2008. There are a lot of great ideas in it!"
Local media in attendance were obviously surprised by this statement, since the ideas expressed in The Revolution appear to be contrary to nearly every single piece of legislation signed into law or implemented by executive order during President Obama's time in office.
Asked whether he plans to alter his platform in the final two years of his presidency to reflect the ideas of individual liberty and economic freedom espoused by Dr. Paul, the President was non-committal.
"Let me be clear and make no mistake. I love The Revolution, but I love power and political influence too. And YOLO. So ¯\_(ツ)_/¯"
