Joshua Basquez is a Conservative activist since 2002, joining Young Republicans as a junior at Broken Arrow high school. Graduating from Broken Arrow High school in 2004, he joined the U.S. Navy the following summer.
Josh worked for the U.S. Naval War College's IT and War Gaming Departments from 2005-2007, and was deployed aboard USS Enterprise in 2007 to wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, managing information systems and loading mission planning software onto F-18 fighter/bombers.
In 2008, he worked as an IT for the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) providing IT support for DoD, DHS, and White House Communications office at Tinker Air Force Base in Oklahoma City. In 2009, he went to work in the IT department at Kaiser-Francis Oil Company in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Josh is a Junior at Oklahoma State University, majoring in Political Science. In 2011, he was awarded a scholarship from the Lint Center for National Security Studies for an essay discussing national security implications of political and economic unification of South America.
