Remember ObamaCare?  That unconstitutional law--at least by the meaning of the Constitution, though we don't yet know how the Supreme Court is going to rule--which was supposed to save us zillions of dollars.  Well, taxpayers shouldn't act like congressmen and spend the savings before they occur.

According to Charles Blahous at the Mercatus Center:

Remember Iraq?  America was getting rid of weapons of mass destruction.  Oops!  Well, America was "draining the swamp" to create peace and stability throughout the region. Oops!  At least America going to replace a dictator with a liberal democracy dedicated to fulfilling America's fondest strategic wishes.  Oops!

Blood-lust long has ruled the commanding heights of the top neoconservative publications and think tanks.  War and more war is the policy of the Weekly Standard, Wall Street Journal, and American Enterprise Institute.  However, much of the Left has proved to be as war-happy in practice.  Start with the president, who has twice doubled down in Afghanistan and started his own war in Libya.

Americans want out of Afghanistan.  Even Republicans want out!

Reports CNN:

Support for the war in Afghanistan has fallen to an all-time low with the majority of Americans saying the U.S. should withdraw all of its troops from Afghanistan before the 2014 deadline set by the Obama administration, according to a new poll.

All the usual suspects want war with Iran.  Never mind they misled the public about Iraq.  Let's start another "splendid little war"!

Good ol' "Curveball," an iraqi chemical engineer, admits that he made everything up about Iraqi weapons of mass destruction.  And he has no regrets, even though thousands of Americans and tens of thousands of Iraqis are now dead.  At least Curveball seems to be doing okay.

No surprise, it appears that Washington allowed another foreign thug, this one in Yemen, to take it for a ride by playing up its alleged anti-terrorism credentials.  Explains Jeremy Scahill in The Nation:

It must be hard.  You spend eight years as vice president to war-happy George W. Bush plotting new combat adventures after avoiding military service yourself.  I mean, you had "other priorities," so what's the big deal?!

Now you want to go to Canada and those mellow Canucks are anything but.  Reported St. Louis Today:

Thanks Senator Graham.  We've been in Afghanistan more than ten years, but no worries.  Riots and massacres "just happen."

Reported Politico:

The reported massacre of about 16 Afghan civilians by a U.S. soldier from a base near Kandahar, while tragic, is no reason to doubt the viability of the U.S. mission there, Sen. Lindsey Graham said Sunday.

Every time I get depressed about the latest depredation from Washington, I feel better when I look across the pond at Europe.  It's a race to the bottom, but they just might win!

Consider the latest outrage.  According to the Prague Daily Monitor:
