Nancy Pelosi famously said, “we must pass the (health care) law in order to find out what is in the law.” Now that ObamaCare is law, the mysteries contained within are slowly coming to light.

While there is reason to hope that ObamaCare will be overturned by the Supreme Court, our state is taking steps to comply with the mandates laid out in the law.

Can you depend on common sense from the government?

Consider the following headlines from recently reported events:

·      Police shut down lemonade stand run by two little girls

·      SWAT team raids Amish farm for selling milk straight from the cow

·      Federal Bureaucrats fine Missouri family $4 million for son’s sale of $4500 worth of rabbits

Automated speed cameras are one step closer to becoming reality, and your action is needed to stop this boondoggle from becoming law.

The Speed Camera bill blew through the legislature in Illinois' Fall Veto Session, and the Governor has until February 6 to either veto, or sign the measure into law. His decision could come at any time.

The Illinois legislature is back in session, and your rights are already under assault.

While many state legislatures are working to loosen gun restrictions and some are even adopting Constitutional Carry laws, Illinois remains the most anti-Second Amendment state in the nation.

Automated speed cameras are one step closer to becoming reality, and your action is needed to stop this boondoggle in the House.

The Speed Camera bill blew through the Senate on a 32 - 24 vote in the first week of Illinois' Fall Veto Session.

With the willing assistance of Speaker Madigan and Senate President Cullerton, Mayor Emanuel's dream of becoming the Speed Camera Capital of America is about to be realized.

They're back, and they want to squeeze every penny out of you they can.

The Illinois Fall Veto Session is set for October 25, 26, and 27 and November 8, 9, and 10.

While the intent of the Fall Veto Session is to override vetoes of bills that occurred over the summer, the legislature sometimes attempts to pass new legislation when most of their constituents aren't looking.

This year we have much to be concerned about.

The following Illinois legislators have failed to cosponsor Audit the Fed. (HR 459 in the House and S 202 in the Senate.) Please contact them and urge them to sign onto the bill.
