I believe in freedom, education, and laws to protect our lives, health, homes and property. I believe in our right to bear arms and defend ourselves from violence. Environmental laws are necessary for life and health. Violence, and the crimes of child abuse and neglect should be intolerable in any sociey. Our military should be the biggest, baddest, strongest force in the world, but it should only be employed when defending this country and its territories. We can send help to defend our allies, but then we need to get out. I believe the war on drugs did not work and we are spending billions of dollars on the DEA unnecessarily. Its reach should be limited to protecting us from terrorists and cartel violence. It is "high" time we start educating people away from drugs instead of incarcerating them - so senseless. Prisons are full of people who are there because their worst crime was falling victim to addiction. The benefits of both medical marijuana and hemp can only be denied by fools. I have never known any violent or career unemployed potheads, and I know a lot of potheads. I personally do not like it, but I know people who are only functional because of it. I believe capitalism is God's ideal, but where there are corrupt people, capitalism will become corrupt, just like anything else. Businesses and their executives must be held to account - deregulation is not an option. Liberalism does not help the poor people in the long run. I believe everyone should pay some tax every time they get paid, even if it's just a very small percentage. It all adds up, and people tend to take better care of what they invest their money in, including our government. Continuing to raise taxes on the rich while the majority of the population pays no tax at all will only increase the severity of the "poverty state" we are already in and send us plummeting towards full-blown communism. I believe anyone in congress, including the black ones, who expresses preference for any one race over others should be deemed a racist and kicked out. I believe we need term limits for all positions, and to do away with lifetime salaries and benefits for former senators and representatives. I believe judges should be elected, not appointed.
