Rand Paul Detained by TSA - Updated

We've just received word that Senator Rand Paul is currently being detained by the TSA at the Nashville airport for refusing their invasive body pat down after their scanner had an "anomaly."

Reports Politico:

Paul, a Republican, was apparently traveling to Washington, D.C., when he was detained. He noted earlier on his Twitter that he was planning to speak at the March for Life.

Looking back, here's a video from June where Senator Paul challenged TSA Administrator John Pistole on the group's security theater.

Update:

Senator Paul's chief of staff responds to TSA claims that Senator Paul wasn't detained: "'Well, I don’t know what bureaucrat manuals call it, but an innocent American citizen who was offering to cooperate while also attempting to stop an invasive search was not allowed to proceed without complying,' Stafford said in an email to TheDC."
