WHO WE ARE GET INVOLVED CANDIDATE SURVEYS ON THE ISSUES ABOUT AUDIT THE FED

Proponent of Federal Reserve Secrecy complains about inflation on House floor

Earlier today, Representative Chris Van Hollen (D-Md), who voted against Audit the Fed in 2012, took to the floor of the House to argue against a bill that would prohibit the CBO from assuming annual spending increases due to inflation. He even had an expensive-looking chart to go with his argument.

Via the Washington Post:

"For $2.71 today, you don't get as big a hamburger. Right?" Van Hollen said. "We would all love to repeal inflation...but that's not the real world."

While Van Hollen had a nice little laugh at his chart, real Americans are struggling under the effects of inflation every single day. Perhaps Rep. Van Hollen should stop laughing and start cosponsoring Audit the Fed.
