Media and inside sources tell me that Governor LePage is considering caving on his stand against ObamaCare, and has entered into discussions with the Obama administration about expanding Medicaid.
Please contact Governor LePage immediately and tell him not to cave on ObamaCare and not to expand Medicaid.

Here is why Governor LePage should stand strong and reject ObamaCare - including the expansion of Medicaid:
1) Medicaid is Bad Medicine
Medicaid provides the worst healthcare outcomes when compared to every other form of insurance in America. A Government Accountability Office report revealed that children on Medicaid have less access to physicians than children with no insurance at all.
2) Medicaid Expansion Equals Higher Taxes or Huge Cuts
According to a 2011 Congressional report, Medicaid expansion will cost states at least $118 billion over the next ten years. To makes matters worse, there is no guarantee these high federal matching rates will continue, and once Medicaid is expanded, history teaches us that it is nearly impossible to contract.
3) Skyrocketing Premiums will Kill Jobs
Current federal law sets up a cycle that will devastate American businesses through skyrocketing insurance premiums:
The penalties of the Affordable Care Act may force businesses such as Darden Restaurants, Taco Bell, Kentucky Fried Chicken, Applebee’s, and Jimmy Johns to shed full time employees. Many of these part time employees will fall into the expanded Medicaid system. American businesses will struggle as their healthcare premiums continue to soar.
4) Clogged Emergency Rooms
Approximately half of the uninsured who gain coverage under the Affordable Care Act do so through the expansion of Medicaid. However, not only do patients on Medicaid experience poor patient outcomes, having Medicaid does not even guarantee access to a physician.
More and more doctors are refusing to take Medicaid patients. Why? Government payments are slow, reimbursements low, and penalties for paperwork errors are onerous.
What is the result? People on Medicaid are forced into Emergency Rooms to get routine medical care. And what does that mean to you? You get to sit for increasingly longer periods of time with your loved ones writhing in agony because the system is clogged.
Why would anyone want more of this?
