WHO WE ARE GET INVOLVED CANDIDATE SURVEYS ON THE ISSUES ABOUT AUDIT THE FED

One last chance to ban the cameras!

I won't beat around the bush.

We are almost out of time to pass legislation to rein in the dangerous and unconstitutional red light cameras in Texas.

The good news is, you helped push anti-camera bills through the Texas Senate in record time this session.

But I’m afraid there’s bad news, too. House leadership is holding up our legislation.

Earlier this year, we were told by House Transportation Chair Geanie Morrison's staff (R- Victoria) that the Senate bills would get a hearing after the House camera ban bills had a hearing.

But Morrison didn’t give any red light camera ban bills from the House a hearing. . .

And now she’s bottling up the Senate bills!

We don't know why Chairwoman Morrison would betray Texans -- including her constituents in Port Lavaca who are currently having to deal with these unconstitutional red light cameras.

Residents from Port Lavaca were denied a vote on the cameras by the mayor and council.

And now, Representative Morrison is denying them a hearing!

Texas Campaign for Liberty recently reminded Representative Morrison that a statewide red light camera ban was a GOP platform item. Despite that, the red light camera ban bills are set to die in the House Transportation Committee once again.

Last session, they blamed the Democratic chairman of the committee for the ban’s failure. . .

But there's nowhere for weak-kneed Republicans to hide this time.

Here's where I need your help.

You and I must let Chairwoman Morrison know we want her committee to pass the Senate anti-red light camera bills out of her committee right away!

You see, time is very short -- we only have a few days for her to act before the clock runs out.

So please contact Representative Geanie Morrison right away, and tell her it's time to end the dangerous and unconstitutional red light cameras in Texas

Since these cameras were slipped into Texas through unethical wheeling and dealing, Texas drivers have seen:

  • A federal bribery scandal;
  • Increasing accidents;
  • Denial of the right to a trial by jury;
  • Denial of the right to confront your accuser;
  • Interference with Texas elections;
  • Violations of the presumption of innocence.
These automated ticket cameras spy on you for cash.

Every time Texans get to vote on the cameras, they vote them out.

I don’t know about you, but I think it’s time Texas drivers said, “enough is enough!”

That's why it's crucial you contact House Transportation Chair Geanie Morrison's office right away, and demand she pass the anti-red light camera bills out of her committee

P.S. There are only a few days left before time runs out to get our anti-red light camera bills through House committee.

If Chairman Geanie Morrison doesn’t schedule our bills, you and I will have to wait two more years to even have a chance at banning the dangerous and unconstitutional red light cameras.

So please contact Representative Geanie Morrison immediately, and tell her to pass the anti-red light camera bills out of her committee
