A bipartisan collation of members are offering an amendment to the Defense Department Appropriations Bill forbidding the use of funds to conduct warrantless surveillance of American citizens. Passing this amendment would be a major step forward in the battle to restore the Fourth Amendment.
Among the members in the bipartisan coalition are Representative Thomas Massive (KY-04), James Sensenbrenner (WI-05), Zoe Lofgren (CA-10), Justin Amash (MI-03), Ted Poe (TX-02), Tulsi Gabbard (HI-02), Jim Jordan (OH-04), and Beto O’Rourke (TX-16).
The amendment will be voted on tomorrow, so Campaign for Liberty members have time to call their representative and tell them to vote for the Massie-Lofgren amendment.
