WHO WE ARE GET INVOLVED CANDIDATE SURVEYS ON THE ISSUES ABOUT AUDIT THE FED

Welcome to Louisiana Campaign for Liberty

Welcome to Louisiana Campaign for Liberty. We have an exciting year ahead of us.

Louisiana Session has come to a close, but not our efforts to maintain, and in some cases get back, our liberties.

Our efforts to Ban the Cameras were stalled in both the House and Senate Committees. However, that will not stop us. We will be doubling our efforts to collect petition signatures, as well as putting pressure on the committee members that stalled the bills. Getting these Unconstitutional cameras out of Louisiana is a fight worth fighting.

In a surprise move, the Senate introduced a bill to phase out the personal and corporate income tax. However, the bill that passed the Senate got amended to read that the phase would be 10 years and would not start till 2013 if a Commission could come up with a plan to increase revenue without raising taxes instead of getting rid of the wasteful spending. However, the House refused to consider the bill citing that it had been on the calendar to long.

This is good news for Campaign for Liberty. Not only do we know what Legislators are for and against getting rid of the income tax, we now have a year to let the people know the truth about our revenue. In several interviews it was said that the income tax is 30% of the revenue. However, the personal and corporate income tax makes up only 10%. I'm sure you and I can agree that at least 10% of Louisiana's budget is wasteful spending that can be gotten rid of.

In other Louisiana news, both the Senate and House has new districts. This is our year to clean house.  Some members will not be able to rerun, while in other areas there will be new people running.

We have an exciting year ahead of us. I'm looking forward to working with everyone on all of our efforts. If you would like to help, or have any questions or concerns, don't hesitate to contact me.
