Welcome to Baldwin County!
Baldwin was named for Abraham Baldwin, one of Georgia's signers of the Constitution. The time has come to restore the Constitution Abraham Baldwin signed. The County seat is Milledgeville, former state capitol, and home of Georgia College & State University and Georgia Military College.
For those of you in Baldwin County, get to know your local and city officials as that is the best way to start to rebuild the local government from within. The Baldwin County government page can be found at here. Baldwin and Milledgeville consists of 6 city precincts and 7 county precincts. The city council of Milledgeville is represented by 6 members, and the county commision has 5 members.

In the Georgia House of Representatives, Baldwin is in the 141st District recently vacated by Bobby Parham. A special election will be held this fall to fill the seat before next years legislative session.
