SPRINGFIELD, Virginia – Campaign for Liberty issued the following response to President Obama’s speech on Syria this evening:
“The debate over whether to intervene in Syria is not about Republicans versus Democrats. It is about Washington versus the rest of America,” said Campaign for Liberty President John Tate.
“The American people overwhelmingly oppose US intervention. The only question that remains is whether Congress and President Obama will listen. The conflict in Syria poses no national security threat to the United States, and America cannot afford to be the world’s policeman.
“I urge Congress to listen to their constituents and the Constitution, and oppose any type of military intervention in Syria.”
