WHO WE ARE GET INVOLVED CANDIDATE SURVEYS ON THE ISSUES ABOUT AUDIT THE FED

Stop Dangerous ID in South Carolina

The federal "Real ID Act of 2005" treats U.S. citizens like criminals -- guilty until proven innocent -- by establishing a federal database of all Americans.

And it forces you to carry an ID card containing biometric features.

Gun ownership, health records, purchasing habits, religious beliefs -- virtually everything about you -- could be added to this massive, Dangerous ID database. You and I both know this power will be abused.

Sign the petition below demanding Governor McMaster veto Real ID in South Carolina.

Whereas: The United States Constitution provides that the federal government is authorized to only exercise those powers enumerated to it in the Constitution; and

Whereas: The Ninth and Tenth Amendments to the U.S. Constitution provide that all other powers are reserved to the States; and

Whereas: The Real ID Act of 2005 usurps State authority and creates a national database in order to track the private activities of United States citizens; and

Whereas: Federal government officials have abused and mishandled the private information of citizens in the past.

Therefore: I demand you defend the citizens of South Carolina and state sovereignty by vetoing REAL ID (H. 3358).
