WHO WE ARE GET INVOLVED CANDIDATE SURVEYS ON THE ISSUES ABOUT AUDIT THE FED

Are You Ready to Audit the Fed?

In the 111th and 112th Congress, historic grassroots lobbying efforts organized by Campaign for Liberty led Ron Paul's Audit the Fed to passage in the House of Representatives.

In this 113th Congress, it's going to take just as much heavy lifting to get a majority of the House to cosponsor and leverage that support against the Senate to force a vote.

Circumstances couldn't be better for this effort: with the upcoming Senate confirmation of Janet Yellen and the Fed's hundredth anniversary, the Federal Reserve will be the subject of attention.

It's up to us to make that focus on the Fed lead to an audit.

Will you stand up for transparency and demand Congress find out what the Fed has done to our money?

The first step is to make sure you've signed the Audit the Fed petition urging your representative and senators to pass H.R. 24 and S. 209.

Campaign for Liberty uses these petitions to help build cosponsors and show representatives and senators just how popular this legislation is with the American people.

Next, be sure to contact your representative and senators at 202-224-3121 and ask them to cosponsor this vital legislation.

Currently, H.R. 24 has 169 cosponsors and S. 209 has 25 cosponsors. (Follow the links to see if your representative or senators are cosponsors.)

We still have a long way to go to hit the 111th cosponsor high of 320 in the House, or even the 112th cosponsor level of 274 in the House and 37 in the Senate.

To help us get there, our staff has created a list of representatives who cosponsored in the House during the 112th Congress, but have yet to recosponsor in the 113th.

If your representative is on that list, please call, email, and tweet at them to cosponsor H.R. 24, the Federal Reserve Transparency Act.

Since the financial crisis, the Federal Reserve has vastly expanded its balance sheet with almost no scrutiny, or oversight.

Though our efforts in the 111th Congress granted us a glimpse behind the Fed's curtain, through a limited, one-time disclosure of the Fed's emergency lending, it's time to push this bill across the finish line.

After 100 years, the Fed is long past-due a complete and thorough audit, and it's about time Congress give it one.

Are you ready to do what it takes so that we can finally Audit, and then End the Fed?
