WHO WE ARE GET INVOLVED CANDIDATE SURVEYS ON THE ISSUES ABOUT AUDIT THE FED

Stupidest Law of The Year

It's a tough competition but one front-runner has to be California Senate Bill 1383, SB 1383.  It's designed to combat global warming by reducing "short-term pollutants," including methane emissions from cows.

No, this is not The Onion. The California state legislature actually passed, and Governor Jerry "Moonbeam" Brown actually signed, legislation giving California's Air Resources Board power to regulate cow flatulence. The bill makes dairy farmers responsible for taking action to limit cow's "emissions" 40% below 2013 levels by 2030.

While the bill establishes a grant program to provide the farmers with machinery to turn cow flatulence into energy, the costs imposed on farmers is expected to drive dairy farmers out of California.

The grant program is funded by a cap-and-trade program, which is one more reason to be glad that Campaign for Liberty members helped stop imposing a federal cap-and-trade bill in 20o9.

Campaign for Liberty will continue to oppose any destructive "environmental" legislation and regulations, even at the risk of being labeled "climate deniers" by statist politicians. Please support our efforts.
