Votes on police militarization in both House and Senate next week!

As you know, next week the Senate will vote on the Schatz-Paul amendment to the National Defense Authorization Act limiting the ability of local police departments to obtain offensive military weapons like generate launchers, tear gas, tanks, and weaponize drones.

I just learned that the House may also vote on a similar amendment offered by Rep. Hank Johnson (D-GA). The House Rules Committee is meeting today to determine what amendments will be voted on.

If your Representative is on the Rules Committee, please call them and tell them to vote to allow the House to debate and vote on the Johnson amendment limiting the ability of police departments to obtain military weapons.
